One of my favorite trends from this season is frayed jeans! Luckily, it is a very easy to make DIY that can be done during an afternoon while watching tv or listening to your favorite songs. There are a few different frayed denim designs, so the first thing you would need to do is figure out what is the look you would love to have. My favorite style is the one that is a little bit shorter in the front, with a medium length frayed detailing.
DIY Frayed Jeans – with no mess left behind!
For this DIY you will need a pair of jeans, scissors, tailor spring scissors, tailor chalk, a small ruler and a thread ripper and a Scotch-Brite™ Printed Lint Roller, as you will need the best lint remover to clean up the little threads of denim! Once you have all your materials, it is time to figure out how long you would like your jeans to be. I removed one inch from the back part and 3 inches from the front. Use the ruler and tailor chalk to make sure that each side is even and to prevent ending up with a leg short than the other one.
The next step is the fun and messy one! Because you have your lint roller with you, there is no need to worry about the little threads. Just concentrate on getting the desired look. Use the thread ripper to remove as many cotton fibers as you want. The more you remove, the longer the distressed look will be. I kept them around 1 inch long, but you can do as much as you want.
Once you have your desired look, it is time to clean up the mess! Use your Scotch-Brite™ Printed Lint Roller to remove all the loose threads left behind. I use their lint rollers daily as they easily remove all dust and even the trickiest dog hairs! By using this lint roller, I was able to easily clean all the threads in seconds and prevents them from getting stuck in my clothes or the carpet. What I love the most about this lint roller is that it has a design that brings in creativity and fun into your household while keeping everything clean and getting the job done! It has a beautiful design on every sheet, so it would look great if stored on display. We have a cute little pug that sheds a lot! Gladly, the Scotch-Brite™ lint rollers are the only ones with Scotch™ adhesive, making the very efficient and adhesive, and capable of removing all of Lemon’s hairs from my clothes, sofa, and carpets.
Another great product is the Scotch-Brite™ Lint Roller ! I have one of these in every closet and it is perfect to clean the insides of your pockets. Pockets can get dusty and are not easy to clean. Even worst if you accidentally washed your jeans with a tissue inside their pockets. By turning them inside out and with the help of the Scotch-Brite™ lint remover, you can easily clean your pockets, keeping them lint, hair & fuzz free. It can also be used on pants, coats, sweaters, dresses, suits, formal wear and more.
Where to buy:
I purchased the Scotch-Brite™ Lint Roller 60 sheet and Scotch-Brite™ Printed Lint Roller 55-sheet from Walmart. They can easily be found in several aisles, like the cleaning, closet/laundry, and sewing/notions aisles. I got mine in the cleaning aisle, where you can also find the Jumbo Lint 100-sheet and the new Scotch-Brite™ 50% Stickier Lint Roller. Lint rollers are an essential product in every household, even if you do not have a pet. They can be used on clothing, upholstery, carpets, and many other ways. Find other creative ways to use your lint rollers!
I love this Love is Messy video, as I feel it shows exactly what my life with Lemon looks like! Puppies are super cute, but they can also be very messy. Thanks to the Scotch-Brite lint rollers there is no need to worry about the mess as it can easily be cleaned!
