Hi all, this is Richard, Ileana’s husband. I got permission to write a guest post on Novelstyle – and if you like it, it won’t be the last one 😃
As you know, we are expecting our first child at the end of June. Therefore, I feel like I can already celebrate my first Father’s Day, even though some might say it’s only half a father’s day at this point. However, my ongoing wishlist is ready for some Father’s Day gifts – so this is what my first Novelsytle blog post is about: gift ideas for Father’s Day!
Father’s day gift ideas
Have you heard of Olivers Apparel yet? They make athletic apparel essentials that are not only high quality but also look good when not doing sports (how useful 😃). This makes them the perfect leisure shorts, not matter if you are going for a run or you’re just heading to the next coffee shop!
#2: Beats Pill
I love music and audio equipment, so speakers or headphones are always a good idea. What I like about the Beats Pill is the fact that it’s not only wirelessly connecting to the phone, but that it’s also battery powered. This is great to take them outside on the porch, use them in the garage or any other random place, where you want to listen to music (did anyone say bathroom?).
Ok, this is a fashion blog. So here is another fashion item. As a big fan of Moleskine notebooks, I also like their accessories, such as this bag. It looks really useful and stylish while being comfortable. I am sure Ileana would consider the color scheme (black and grey) boring. However, I like it, and this is my blog post!
“Pour Your Heart Into It: How Starbucks Built a Company One Cup at a Time” by Howard Schultz
This is an easy explanation: I like reading, I like business books and I like Starbucks. Any questions? 🙂
#5: Shinola Journal
I read about Shinola for the first time in a Marketing magazine. The writer was praising the story of this company and I must admit that it’s quite impressive. Short version: this Detroit based company re-educated automotive workers and started manufacturing great products – in Detroit. Such as these beautiful journals. I wonder how these would go with the Moleskine bag 🙂
Let me know what you think of these ideas or if you have some items to add. Also, tell Ileana that you REALLY love this blog post – I definitely enjoyed doing this, so maybe I’ll appear again on Novelstyle!
