Staying active while being pregnant is not easy! I could barely leave the sofa during the first and second trimester, but that is a story for another post. The good thing is that once I entered the third trimester, I was finally used to being pregnant and had more energy to start doing things again. Even though these last months have been full of pregnancy symptoms, like being super clumsy, sciatica pain, needing to pee every 5 minutes, lightning, Braxton Hicks, etc. etc… I was able to incorporate a small routine in a way to stay active.
During the last trimester it is recommended that you do not exercise much, nor do a bunch of other things. Rumor has it that you should not even grab things from the higher shelves at the supermarket… but how else am I going to get my Krispie treats?! One thing which is recommended is to walk! So, that is how I stayed active during these last months… by taking my cute little pug out for walks. Luckily for me, she gets tired super fast and we could be back on the sofa after a short 30 minutes walk! I also included a short water break, a longer Instagram break and a big stretching session to help my sciatica and back pains.
TIPS FOR STAYING ACTIVE:
– Walk 30 minutes a day
– Take a bottle of water to stay hydrated!
– Bring your laziest BFF along!
– Take Instagram breaks (and check @novelstyle)
– Use your phone to find some great stretching tips for the third trimester.
