A few weeks ago, my husband got me a Tie-Dye Cake Mix from Duff Goldman. I read really good reviews about it, and since I always use Betty Crocker mixes, I was pretty excited to try a new mix. I decided to make Tie-Dye cupcakes! The colorants included inside the Mix are incredible… I even had a few drops left so I used them for the frosting 🙂 Also, it was tons of fun to mix the colorant in different bowls, kinda like playing scientist! 😛
– 1 cup of butter (softened)
– 3-4 cups confectioner’s sugar
– 10 drops of butter-vanilla
Add confectioner’s sugar, 1/2 a cup at a time. After each cup has been incorporated, mix for about 15 seconds! Add the vanilla-butter and mix till the texture is as desired. You can add more sugar or butter, if the flavor or texture is not as desired. Put everything inside a pipping bag (or ziploc bag!) and let it rest in the fridge for a few minutes 🙂
